Keeley came into the studio to talk about this play which is loosely based on her book, recounting her days as a Page 3 girl which brought her immediate fame, if not fortune, but after a few years of that the exploitation that came with it changed the way she felt about modelling and she realised that it was an industry she didn’t want to be part of anymore.
In the one-woman play she dives straight in with the early days, dressed in skimpy shorts and revealing top, and displaying the fact that many years on from her modelling career she has kept herself in amazing shape and as she slips slowly into her 40s she is an extremely attractive woman who could easily be mistaken for someone in their 20s.
That alone allowed her to convincingly set the scene early on and those who came to her show purely to get a glimpse of her famous cleavage would have been well satisfied, however that girl has grown up now and he is now a superb actress and writer and I hope that those who came to see her for a different reason, went away impressed by her acting ability and our terrific storytelling, which was appreciated by an audience who thoroughly enjoyed her performance.
Her TV and movie career continues to move in the right direction – she was in Horrible Bosses 2 and St George’s Day on the big screen while her involvement in Ted Lasso and The Royals on TV illustrates how far she has come. It was a privilege to see her in such an intimate environment and I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.
