Charlie won Sweden’s Got Talent many years ago and since then he has been perfecting his art of close-up magic to a point where he is regarded by most other magicians as world class, and one they look up to. And no wonder! He’s been at the Fringe in Edinburgh for 18 years as part of the PBH Free Fringe and he gets better and better each time.

His audiences have grown to a point where you need to start queuing up early to get a seat, and let’s not forget that the Liquid Rooms is a pretty big venue, but his close-up magic is geared towards an intimate setting and this venue is perfect for him.

A lot of his act is tried and tested but still baffles me and the audience time after time. There were new tricks in there as well and his presentation skills are second to none. The audiences lap him up and for the hour on stage – as well as his highly entertaining warm-up routine as the crowds are finding their seats – he is a master in control of his craft.

His appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe are so popular now that no visit to the Festival is complete without a Charlie Caper show.
